History

Intergraph was founded in 1969 by James Meadlock and Gary Anderton. The company initially developed software for the oil and gas industry. In the 1990s, Intergraph acquired a number of other software companies, including Intergraph Mapping & GIS and Z/I Imaging.

In 2006, Intergraph was acquired by Hexagon AB, a Swedish technology company. Hexagon is a leading provider of sensors, software, and services for a variety of industries, including manufacturing, mining, and construction.
