Camera RAW is the unprocessed digital image data captured by a camera’s sensor, containing all the raw information recorded by the sensor. This data allows for more precise editing and adjustment of the final image.
What does Camera RAW mean?
Camera RAW refers to a format for digital images that are captured directly from the camera’s sensor without any in-camera processing or compression. It is the purest form of a digital image, containing all of the Raw Data captured by the camera, including details such as color, exposure, focus, and white balance. Camera RAW files are typically much larger in size compared to processed image formats like JPEG or TIFF, as they contain all the unprocessed data from the sensor.
