How to Get Rid of Highlight Around App Icons on iPhone

Highlighting around app icons on iPhone can be unsightly and distracting. Fortunately, there is a simple way to remove this highlight.

Steps to Remove Highlight Around App Icons

  1. Unlock your iPhone.

  2. Tap and hold on an app icon that has a highlight around it.

  3. A small menu will appear. Tap on "Edit Home Screen."

  4. The app icons will start to jiggle.

  5. Tap on the small "x" in the upper-left corner of the app icon that you want to remove the highlight from.
